Social Package: the Nature and Place in Compensation

Introduction. Despite the increasing interest of researchers to the phenomenon of benefits package, its nature and essence, motivational potential, correlation with other categories to characterize payments and rewards received by employees, remain poorly studied. Purpose. to study the essence of the «benefits package» category and the practice of its benefits providing to employees in Ukrainian companies (by means of questioning). Results. The nature of the «benefits package» category and the employers’ reasons of giving benefits to employees were studied. The dialectics of the social and economic nature of the benefits is substantiated. The inclusion of some options into the benefits package is justified as unreasonable. The study revealed that only 63% of companies provided benefits to their employees. Many employers begin realizing the importance of such benefits to increase the loyalty and motivation of their employees. However, employees’ needs and interests may not always be considered during the development of benefits packages. Conclusion. An important direction of transformation of the personnel motivation practice at Ukrainian companies is increasing the quantity of benefits in compensation packages. It is necessary to consider the interests and needs of employees.

The Remuneration of Employees of Banking Sector of the China

Introduction. Labor resources in China have great potential for development. The number of employed citizens is 77500 thousand. However, the level of real unemployment in the country is high. Empirical analysis. The article analyses the level and characteristics of remuneration of employees of the banking sector of China. We study the structure of the working population of the country, it investigates the level of wages in the country, including in Chinese banks, is considered the minimum wage in Chinese cities. Given the problems existing in the programs of remuneration of the banks of China, including: the lack of communication targets reached and the amount of financial benefits, the underdevelopment of the system of bonus payments, the unpopularity of rewards for individual merit, gender discrimination in remuneration in the Bank of China, etc. Results. The article presents the main recommendations for improving the system of remuneration in the banking sector of China: among them: the introduction of Chinese banks in the remuneration system agreed with the results achieved, the expansion of the program of bonus payments, promotion and regular wage increases for young employees, the application of open and competitive wage systems, regular monitoring of employees‘ interests in wages, minimizing fines.

Dynamics of Labour Productivity: Calculation and Specialities in the Regions

Introduction.Improvement of competitive positions of Russian economy is impossible without an increase in labour productivity. A productivity development at the level of country, region, cluster, enterprise, manufacture or section is meant to be an increase in efficiency of production factors utilisation, or resources being used. Theoretical analysis. The article is devoted to analysis of public labour efficiency specifics in Russia. The essence and forming factors of labour efficiency were demonstrated at macrolevel. Research approach. In the research, economics and statistics approaches, in particular methods of time-series data research, factor, correlation and regression analysis, were utilised. Empirical results. Labour productivity dynamics in regions of Privolzhsky Federal District between 2005 and 2012 was studied. As exemplified in Privolzhsky Federal District, particular factors impact on formation and dynamics of labour efficiency was found. Conclusions. The calculations showed that the increase in average labour efficiency between 2005 and 2012 was caused by improvement of labour efficiency in each particular region. The essential regional differentiation in terms of labour productivity between 2005 and 2012 was shown. An attenuation of correlation between labour efficiency in regions of Privolzhsky Federal District and public salary was found. Necessity of correlation enhancement between these factors as a matter of changing over to an innovative way of regional and country development was proved.
